Our commitment: Marketing should be inclusive. We design and build this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with vision, hearing, motor, and cognitive differences. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across the site.

Conformance status

AAWCAG 2.1

Target conformance: WCAG 2.1 Level AA

We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We consider this site partially conformant: most content meets AA, with ongoing work on a small number of items noted below.

What we have built in

The following accessibility features are intentionally built into manawavemarketing.com:

Semantic HTMLProper landmarks, headings, lists, and form labels so screen readers can navigate easily.
Skip-to-content linksThe first focusable element on every page lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past navigation.
Keyboard navigationAll interactive elements are reachable and operable using only the keyboard (Tab, Enter, Space, arrow keys where applicable).
Visible focus indicatorsFocused elements get a high-contrast gold outline so keyboard users can always see where they are.
Color contrastBody text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
Responsive designWorks at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling. Adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes.
Alternative textMeaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative graphics are marked as such so screen readers can skip them.
Plain languageWe write at roughly an 8th-9th grade reading level. We avoid agency jargon and explain technical terms in context.
Form labels and errorsEvery form field has a programmatic label. Errors are announced and described, not just colored red.
Reduced motion respectWe honor the prefers-reduced-motion setting. Users who request reduced motion will not see animations or auto-scrolling effects.

Known limitations

We are working on the following:

  • Third-party embeds. Some embedded tools (scheduling widgets, video players) are controlled by their vendors and may not fully meet WCAG AA. Where this matters for a primary task (like booking a Strategy Session), we provide an alternative path (email hello@manawavemarketing.com directly).
  • Video captions. All current public-facing video content includes captions. Historical content older than 12 months may not. If you need a specific video captioned, contact us and we will prioritize it.
  • PDF accessibility. PDFs published before 2026 may not be fully accessible. New PDFs are produced with proper structure, alt text, and reading order.

How we test

We test accessibility through:

  • Automated audits using tools like axe DevTools, Lighthouse, and WAVE on every page before launch.
  • Manual keyboard-only testing of every interactive flow.
  • Periodic screen reader testing using VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) and NVDA (Windows).
  • User feedback. The fastest way for us to learn about a real barrier is when someone tells us.

Tell us if something is broken

If you run into an accessibility barrier on this site, we want to know. We treat accessibility issues with the same urgency as broken pages or billing errors.

  • Email: hello@manawavemarketing.com
  • Subject line: "Accessibility issue" so we can route it quickly
  • What to include: the page URL, what you were trying to do, what went wrong, and what assistive technology (if any) you were using
  • Response time: we will acknowledge within 2 business days and aim to resolve or provide a workaround within 10 business days
